Then today whilst wondering around the local IGA I had a thought – why plan for a whole week? Why not just make it a 3 day planner? I know exactly what i am up to for the next two days, after that it all gets a little foggy… And i also should point out here my secret obsession with gourmet take out And at the slightest hint of an excuse for a THAI feast i am in – hook, line and sinker!

So starting today (tomorrow after my gourmet pizza tonight – another secret confession!) I am going to write up my 3 day planner! I am going to put the meals in there. I am  feeling so organized. I now know what i am eating for dinner on Tuesday night! WOW! Also i will fill it all in with work (AVIDIVA start up), kids, DH’s Work and i suppose i better throw in a touch of  the housework…

Look out organization here i come!

I shall keep it updated!! I just might be onto something to help me get organized!

Master J has decided that between the hours of 2am and 4 or 5am he shall be AWAKE! I know that he is wishing he was also asleep but its just the way it is for now. I am pretty sure that it could be a touch of colic – always throw in a dirty nappy and some wind – ahh well the end result is that he is awake and usually grumpy at times…

But alas there is a silver lining – i am determind to stay positive and keep telling myself he will grow out of it, i mean i can’t imagine a teenager pulling a stunt like this!

Anyway back to the silver lining – this shall act as a reminder in years to come about the precious moments that i wish would last forever! When he looks up and strokes my cheek with his tiny but chubby little hand, or when i get the cheeky little grins! Or his new found love of the open mouth kiss!!! (although not many of these in the middle of the night!) Or just the wonder when i look down at him and think of how we made him from scratch. I should be so lucky that someone needs me that much

So here’s to the sleepless nights and the loved filled days of babies!!!

Firstly i will explain what it is for the newby’s  - it’s a bucket shaped baby bath that makes the newborn bub feel as though they are back in the womb. It uses a much less water and keeps that water at a comfortable temp far longer then your usual baby bath.

Jasper loved his daily TT from the time we left hospital (i’ll be taking it with me to hospital if there is a next time) The content look that fell over his face once i placed him into the tub was amazing! It settled him so much, it was the integral part of our bedtime routine. I also believe that it aided in getting rid of wind and preventing colic. I must admit at times it could have resembled a bubble bath There was another massive plus for me in using the TT. Jasper was / is a wriggle worm and feed times often resembled a weird form of baby yoga… but after a bath in his tub he was so relaxed he had the best feed of the day, and i knew at bed time i had one content little man!

Jasper wasn’t the only one who loved his TT! I loved it not only cause i had a content bubba afterwards but also because it uses HEAPS less water then the conventional baby baths and i could place the bath in the kitchen sink and place the change mat and all the supplies on the bench beside me – so the added bonus was no bending! Once bath time was finished the water ended up on the garden!

It’s definitely on my ‘must have’ baby item list.

At my house this week… Well it’s a little bit of the unusual all rolled in with a bit of the usual. The usual being the daily dose of ‘The little Mermaid 2′ over breakfast, oh when will it ever get old?? And the little bit of unusual is trying to entertain Miss Ruby 2 and a half with a broken elbow, ensuring we get through the next two weeks without breaking the other one!

I guess that is the simple beauty of a kids life, there ever willing to ‘get back on the horse’ fall off the table climbing, must have just been unlucky – and back to climbing they go! All this with no regard to there poor parent’s and the non stop heart palpitations that ensue.

The other exciting event in our house this week will hopefully be the birth of AVIDIVA the online baby boutique! It’s so inspiring diving head first into your own creativity. I am muddling my way through – well that is how it feels anyways! I am meeting many helpful and lovely people and a whole bunch of hard working and inspiring mums!

Other then the exciting adventure back into the working life (a whole new kind of working life) it’s lots of the normal stuff like sheppard pie for dinner and a load of washing on the line. I guess i’ll sign off with this weeks fave pic – Miss Ruby – a reminder that kids seem to have endless ways to make us giggle!

My nappy count at the moment is around 30 and that seems to be plenty in these summer months. Although some of the mediums are on there last legs with my little boof! So i’ll be looking forward to getting back in for some newbies soon! My favorites so far have been the itti bitti’s - they are sized and so were on the mediums and large at the moment. The colors are just so cute and its also an added bonus that throughout the day they are a little slimmer then some other MCN.

My collection also include a couple Rumparooz - they are one size pocket nappy’s and they are brilliant as they have a gathered inner line down each side of the nappy so it keeps the poo’s in! They also dry really quick as you take them apart into three sections – outer, liner and booster. They also come in funky prints and colors.

The third brand that I use and love is Bum Genius – they do an organic nappy. It’s great on bubs skin! It’s probably one of my favorite nappy’s so long as you can get over a couple of little hurdles with it. It is a one size nappy but the inner is stitched in – it sort of has three separate layers so it takes the longest to dry. It’s also important to make sure all the inner is tucked in when putting it on bub other wise it will leak a small amount. Also because it’s an organic material it does discolor a fraction and it does have a small smell once it’s used. Having said all of this it’s probably still my favorite nappy.

The latest nappy that i have purchased is the twinkle lily night nappy – its in the wash at the minute and i cannot wait to get in and try it! It looks DELUXE! http://www.twinklelily.com.au/

The best advice I could give you is to head to http://www.booloobabe.com.au/ and arrange a catch up with Sam in Perth or Linda in Geelong (vic) and get your hands on approach to ‘going cloth’ with your own nappy consultant. It’s awesome being able to ask all the questions you have, and to see the nappy’s all up close so that you can choose the right nappy for your Bubba, lets face it those chubby little thighs come in all shapes and sizes They stock a massive range of nappies and nappy products. If your anything like me i had a tonne of questions from which nappy to use for day/night to the best way to wash and dry them. You won’t regret your call to booloobabe!!!

One of the aims of this blog is to record all the little things that i love about being a mum and raising both a boy and a girl. My sole goal in life is to raise my children to be healthy, happy little INDIVIDUALS – I don’t want to change the world but I want to teach them that they can!

The second aim of the blog is for it to work hand in hand with my up and coming online baby boutique – I will be selling all my little funky designed singlets and other baby goodies. Along with this I will try to update all the new and unique baby goods that i will be starting to stock at AVIDIVA.

I strongly believe in living organic where I can. Even more importantly I believe in using organic products in raising my babies. That is within reason and availability. I feel as though there are many, many areas of their life that I will have no control over so the things that I do have that little bit of control I want to make as pure as possible.

My last aim of this blog is to keep a record for my babies to grow up and look back on and see how I attempted to ‘ride the crazy bumps’ of parenting – and may I enter the other side of this “newborn + toddler” stage with as much sanity as I can  I hope to blog about kiddy crafts and keeping a busy 2-year-old and a full on 8 month old entertained!
